Hotels & Guesthouses

There is a wide range of hotels and guesthouses in the Holy Land. On this page, we highlight a few of the hotels we have used over the years on our pilgrimage tours.
These are not top-end luxury hotels, but well-established, high-middle-range properties that offer comfort, hospitality, and good service. All rooms include a private bath, free Wi-Fi, and air conditioning.
We select our hotels carefully, looking for strong reputations, quality rooms and facilities, excellent food, and convenient locations for our pilgrimage itinerary.
For our 2027 pilgrimage, we presently hold reservations at the Golan Hotel in Tiberias and the Golden Walls Hotel in Jerusalem. See below for more information.

Golden Walls Hotel
​Jerusalem

Among the Jerusalem Hotels this is Vicars' personal favourite. Located in the centre of the Holy City, across the street from the city wall between the Damascus and Herod Gates. The location is easy walking distance from most of the key sites in Jerusalem.  Rooms all air conditioned, have cable TV, free WiFi., room safes.  The rooftop terrace with an amazing view.  Excellent food and hospitality. (Four Stars)

Rooms are a bit small by today's standards.  This is more than made up for by outstanding hospitality, food quality.  The  location is impossible to improve upon as it is within easy walking distance of all parts of Jerusalem's Old City.

Manger Square Hotel

Manger Square Hotel, Bethlehem, is just few steps from the Church of the Nativity and Manger Square. Fully Air Conditioned. Ron Beach Hotel
​Tiberias (Galilee)

This 4 star hotel in Tiberias is located right on the waterfront with all rooms overlooking the Sea of Galilee.  Air Conditioning, Flatscreen TV, Room fridge. The hotel was built in 1976 by the Amsalem family who operate this family business and have lived in Tiberias since the 16th century.  The hotel has a swimming pool and a private tropical garden.  (Four Stars)

Petra Guest House

Betharram Carmel Guesthouse
Nazareth

A religious guesthouse with an excellent reputation for hospitality.  Part of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the Betharram Centre is operated by Carmelite Fathers.

Legacy Hotel
Nazareth

The Legacy, on Paul the sixth St., is located in the heart of Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus.  It is a 5 minute walk from the hotel to the Church of the Annunciation and the colourful market of Nazareth.

Food is excellent at the Legacy.  Terrace with great views of the city.. Free WiFi is available throughout.  All rooms with air conditioning,  minibar,  safe and flat-screen TV​

Old Village Resort Hotel - Petra

A 4 Star hotel in Wadi Musa with 136 Air Conditioned rooms with private bath.  Located a couple kilometres from the entrance to Petra.  Hotel has indoor pool, coffee shop, cafe, and restaurant, This is a dry hotel.  Free WiFi in all public areas and guest rooms.  LCD TV with satellite channels, in-room safe, kettle,  and Hair dryer in all rooms.  Bottled water.
